Five Question Friday

1. Tube socks, calf socks, crew, ankle, none?

I’d say any socks as long as they are warm! My feet are always cold and it sucks. Well, at least in winter that is, in summer my feet are mostly sweaty, which isn’t too nice either. So, in winter warm socks, in summer none!

2. Was your childs (children’s) name a mutual decision or was it a debate? If you don’t have children, do you plan on giving your spouse a say, or do you have a name you MUST have, regardless if your other half likes it or not?!

I don’t have any children yet but if I ever do, I’d certainly wouldn’t decide on the name all by myself. Why shouldn’t I be the only one to choose? My husband/boyfriend will have as much right to it as I do!

3. What is your favorite type of weather?

Nice and sunny outside, with about 20 to 25 degrees I think. I love the sun and with these temperatures, and maybe a slight breeze it won’t be to hot to go out and enjoy it!

4. If left to your own devices, what time would you wake up every day?

I think between 8 and 9 in the morning. Not ridiculously early, but not that late either. There’s still plenty of time to make something of your day without being grumpy about getting up too early. Not that I’m usually grumpy in the mornings though…

5. Have you bought your cemetery plots yet?

No, and I don’t think I ever will. I want to be cremated when I die and then my ashes can be spread wherever. I’ll leave that to the people who will have to take care of it.

Five Question Friday

1. Have you ever had roommates?
I have to say I’m still not sure about the roommate thing. Does it mean you share a room with someone or a house? In the first case: no, I haven’t had roommates. Good thing too since I like to have my own place to go to every now and then where no one will disturb me. In the second case: yes. I have a roommate right now in my student appartment, where I lived together with one other person for the past five years. With the exeption of half a year where I went abroad and had 7 roommates! Talk about fun times :)

2. How many names do you/your children have? (i.e. Prince Charming William Phillip Arthur Louis John Jacob Jingleheimer-Schmidt)
Well, none since I don’t have any children. I only have a first and a last name so I guess that makes two.

3. Did you watch the Royal Wedding?
No! I did not watch the wedding and I don’t regret it a bit. I seriously don’t get why people make such a fuss about a wedding. Will anyone be there when I get married? No, and that’s a good thing too!

4. What is the messiest room in your house?
Since my house consists of only three rooms, a bathroom, a toilet and my own room (ok and my roommates/neighbours room but I don’t think I can count that since I have no idea what it looks like in there at the moment) I’d have to say my bedroom/kitchen/living room. It’s three rooms in one, no wonder it’s the messiest one. Anyway, I hate messes so even though it’s the messiest room it’s still pretty clean in here!

5. What is your ideal mothers day?
Can’t really tell since I’m not a mother. I do have a mother though, and mothers day usually is just like any other day, except for the years when it’s my dads birthday.

Five Question Friday

It’s friday again! So here’s this weeks questions and my answers:

1. What is your favorite sign of spring?
Can I say, everything? I love spring. The sun starts to shine, there’s flowers growing everywhere all of a sudden and the trees get green. First time of the year I can wear a skirt again without freezing my ass of. Spring is just great!
2. What was your best birthday ever?
My best birthday ever? I guess that would be my going abroad/early birthday party a couple of years ago. My friends threw me a surprise party and it was awesome! The only downside was that I didn’t know there was gonna be a party so I didn’t party-prep. Hence, no party outfit for me.

3. What is your favorite dessert?
Tiramisu! It is soo good. I make it myself every now and then and after we’re done there’s no real need to clean the dish it was in. If you know what I mean ;) Recipe can be found here. It’s in Dutch but I’m pretty sure google translate can help you with that, otherwise just ask if you want to make it yourself!

4. What is the best excuse you’ve ever used to get out of a ticket?
None! I’ve never had a ticket before. Mind you, I don’t have a car so there’s not really that many opportunities for me to get tickets.

5. Do you wake up before your alarm, with your alarm, or after hitting snooze several times?

All of them! Some days I wake up a couple of minutes before the alarm goes off. Other days I just can’t seem to wake up and I press the snooze button a lot. And then there are those days on which I set the alarm for the absolute last possible time to get up. That’s when I wake up with my alarm :)

That’s all already for today! I’m already looking forward to next weeks questions~.

Five Question Friday

It’s Friday again! That means the weekend has started and it’s time for five new questions so here goes:

1. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
Hmm, this is a tough one. What would I change about myself? I guess I would like to be able to put a stop to all my random ramblings some times. And I think I’m not the only one, boyfriend would be very happy if I could. It’s just that mostly I don’t notice when I’m doing it again. Not until half an hour later that is.

2. Write about a time when you got lost.
I can’t really remember a time when I really got lost. I guess I take good precautions when I’m going somewhere unknown and take a map. Also, I think I’m not one of those people who do have a map but still get lost because they don’t know how to read it. I do turn it around to let the street face the right direction but if that’s what it takes for me to not get lost, well… try to stop me!

3. Camping or 5 star hotel?
Definately 5 star hotel! It’s no secret that I hate camping. The only reason I would do it is because my boyfriend does like it a lot and sometimes you just have to do what the other person likes. I think that’s normal in a healthy relationship. But if it was up to me, it would be a hotel for sure! When I’m on a holiday I’d like to relax, I don’t want to cook my own dinner and do the dishes afterwards! Because that’s what people on campings do right? Also, I’d like a nice and comfy bed and not an air mattress in  a tent in which it is bloody hot from the sun shining on it all day, thank you very much!

4. Have you donated blood?
I haven’t. And while I think it’s a very good thing to do I don’t think I ever will. The thing is, I faint when there’s blood around. I would make the world worst surgeon ever.

5. Do you have a budget or do you ‘fly by’ most months?
I don’t really have a budget. Sure, I try to save on groceries where I can by not buying the most expensive brand and all but I’ve never had any real money issues so I guess I’m lucky!
That’s it for this week people. Thanks to My Little Life for sharing these questions again this week!

Five Question Friday

At My Little Life, five questions are posted each Friday which bloggers answer on their blogs. I thought I’d try this out myself so here it goes:

1. Have you ever had surgery?

Well, not a real one that is. I’ve had my tonsils taken out when I was young and I had the doctors put tiny tubes in my ears twice because my hearing was bad. Except for that, no surgeries yet. I hope to keep it this was for a long, long time!

2. Ever ride in an ambulance?
If you count the day I was born I have. Me and my mom rode and ambulance on our way home only 2 hours after I was born, or so she told me. Again, except for that, I’ve only seen ambulances racing by but haven’t been in there. And again, I wish to keep it this way as long as possible.
3. How are you in a medical emergency? Panicked? Calm?
I’ve never had or been near a medical emergency but I think I won’t really be calm. Unless there’s blood, then I’ll faint and I’ll be as calm as can be…  Lessen to learn from this: don’t count on me in an emergency!
4. Do you have a garden? Flowers or veggies?
Unfortunately I do not. I’m a student, which means my whole living space consists of about 16 square meters. And that doesn’t include a garden. I really wish our house had one and I intend on my next house having at least a balcony but preferably a (small) garden.
5. When did you move out of your parents house?
I moved out when I started studying, which is when I was 18. That has been four and a half years ago now and I hope I won’t move back in, sorry about that mom!

So, that’s the questions for today. I think it was pretty easy, will try again next week :)
